WTJU celebrates the 2020 Charlottesville Chamber Music Festival

We are all missing live music!

This year’s Charlottesville Chamber Music Festival is offering the next best thing to in-person concerts, FREE on its website.

From Monday, September 15 through Thursday, September 24, experience 10 days of carefully chosen music during this virtual festival.

WTJU will air selections from this year's festival on 91.1 FM and streaming at wtju.net. Listen for Festival pieces on Sunday during First Light (6 - 9 a.m.) and Just a Few Friends (7 - 9 p.m.).

The 2020 Festival will feature one major work a day performed by some of today’s top pianists and string players. Recordings were produced by Festival musicians in late August and September in their home locations, from California to Brooklyn to France and Germany.

To help alleviate the hardship musicians are experiencing during the pandemic, the Festival has paid all the performers their regular concert fee to create their recordings.

Performances will be available on the Festival website until October 31, 2020.

Visit cvillechambermusic.org each day or sign up on the website to have a daily email link delivered to your inbox.
