Lorenzo Perosi Piano Quintets -- Masterful Chamber Works
The Roma Tre Orchestra Ensemble with Matteo Bevilacqua takes the right approach to this music. Perosi didn't write operas, but his aesthetic centered on the human voice. His music wants -- and needs to -- sing.
