Violin Concertos by Black Composers Reissue adds Florence Price
With the addition of Florence Price, Barton's survey of Black composers runs from the 1790s through the 1950s. To me, the reissue is a more comprehensive survey, and a more satisfying listen.
Glazunov Complete Concertos Completely Enjoyable
For those of us who are familiar with Glazunov, it's instructive to hear these works one right after the other. For not familiar with this Russian master, this disc is a great place to start.
