Running the Gamut 5 - A Thousand and One Thanks
Every day volunteers from your community show up to educate, entertain, and enlighten. Thanks for your continued support. Many, many, many thanks.
Running the Gamut 3 - A Thousand and One Lessons
To some, broadcasting 3,000 hours of unique works may seem like a silly stunt. One of my colleagues who's a program director at a major public radio station told me it was the worst idea ever. I disagree.
Running the Gamut 2 - A Thousand and One Milestones
Looking over the master playlist for "Gamut," I'm amazed at both how much music by how many composers I've been able to air, and how much there is still left to do.
C.E.F. Weyse - A Danish Treasure Rediscovered
I was pleasantly surprised by what I heard -- I hope you will be, too.
Return of the Radio Star
I look forward to returning to the airways tomorrow, so we can continue our exploration of this amazingly diverse world of classical music together.
The Ever-Expanding Classical Repertoire
One of the questions I'm repeatedly asked is, "Won't you run out of classical music to air?" Not likely. We're talking about 1,000 years of music, and more being written every day. And there's more being discovered, too.
We are grateful for the generosity of the Joseph and Robert Cornell Memorial Foundation and UVA Arts Council, supporting WTJU and CharlottesvilleClassical.org.
