Heinrich Sutermeister Orchestral Works Impress
The Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz directed by Rainer Held is in exceptionally fine form. Fascinating music, indeed. Another composer well-served by Toccata Classics.
Zygmunt Stojowski Symphony gets a new recording
Antoni Wit leads the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pflaz in some fine performances. Wit's a champion of Polish music. His direction brings out those elements -- particularly in the Suite.
Xiaogang Ye - Road to the Republic truly epic
Ye composed "The Road to the Republic" to mark the 100th anniversary of the 1911 Revolution. And it's appropriately epic.
Johann Evangelist Brandl Symphony anticipates Beethoven
The performances are quite good. This is the second Brandl recording by these musicians. I trust there will be more.
