Classical Interviews – Michael Slon

So says UVA professor Michael Slon, discussing the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic for musicians and audiences.

Active as a conductor of choral, orchestral, and operatic repertoire, Michael Slon is Director of Choral Music and associate professor at the University of Virginia, where he leads the University Singers and UVA Chamber Singers. He also serves as Music Director of the Oratorio Society of Virginia.

He recently spoke with WTJU about U Singers, the challenges of performing during COVID, the 50th anniversary of the Oratorio Society, and more.
