Koussevitzky@150: Koussevitzky as “Animateur”

Author Nicholas Slonimsky claimed that conductor Serge Koussevitzky had a rare gift: he was an ‘animateur’ (animator) of music and musicians. His conducting brought fire and passion to the music, inspiring his ensembles to do the same!

In this episode you’ll hear opera legend Boris Goldovsky and legendary classical broadcaster Martin Bookspan talk about Koussevitzky’s talent.
