Dean Dixon: All American II

This Wednesday, Mar. 5, at 9:00 am, Analog Masters continues it’s look at Dean Dixon.

In Europe in the late 40s and early 50s, African-American conductor Dean Dixon became the preeminent performer of American Classical music. His work on behalf of American composers culminating in a series of outstanding recordings for the American Recordings Society. In this hour, Dixon leads performances of Edward MacDowell, Douglas Moore, and Howard Hanson.
